[Reference]: The -synuclein (SNCA) protein is intricately involved in the pathogenesis of Parkinson?? disease and other synucleinopathies, including dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) and multiple system atrophy (MSA). Each disorder is characterized by protein aggregates containing -synuclein protein that has been hyperphosphorylated on serine 129 (p-Syn);;;;PD patients had higher S129 phosphorylation levels compared to healthy controls. Patients with multiple system atrophy (MSA) or progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) patient, had lower S129 phosphorylation than PD patients or healthy controls. There was a weak correlation with P-S129 levels and severity of the PD.;;;;Lower pS129 levels correlated with worse clinical condition at early stages, but better condition at later stages.;
